Problem Statement
Despite initial success and traction in the luxury watch market, Beacon Watches encountered a significant setback with a notable decline in sales attributed to reports of counterfeit watches circulating in the market. This issue threatens the brand's reputation for authenticity and poses a challenge to maintaining customer trust and loyalty..
Solution
As the UI/UX designer for this project, I collaborated closely with Beacon Watches to develop an exclusive authentication mobile app aimed at tackling the issue of counterfeit watches affecting its brand reputation and sales. Through intuitive design and user-centric features, the app enables customers to verify the authenticity of their Beacon timepieces in real-time by inputting the watch's serial number. Our objective is to restore confidence and trust in the Beacon Watches brand while reaffirming its commitment to quality and authenticity. By addressing this challenge head-on and leveraging UI/UX design expertise, we aim to mitigate the risks associated with counterfeit products, strengthen the brand's integrity, and foster lasting connections with its customer base.

Key Insights Based On Survey
In summary, our research reveals that people admire Beacon Watches for their stylish designs, fair prices, and high-quality craftsmanship. However, concerns about the watches being genuine have damaged the company's reputation. Previous buyers have reported seeing counterfeit watches being sold at lower prices, casting doubt on the authenticity of Beacon Watches. Compounded by the fact that the company sells through resellers and its proximity to Mainland China, where counterfeit products are common, these concerns have impacted sales and shaken the confidence of some customers in the brand.
